Removing Different Types of Carpet Stains

Removing Different Types of Carpet Stains

There are all kinds of carpet stains you may encounter, and we’re going to be looking at a few of them with you today.

Some areas around your business might be nice for carpeting. The right carpet can make a room look nicer while also creating a cozier feeling around the office. What hurts a carpet’s look is when it gets stained. There are all kinds of carpet stains you may encounter, and we’re going to be looking at a few of them with you today.

Coffee Stains

It’s not unusual to start your day with a cup of coffee. As such, it’s very likely that coffee could be in the nearby vicinity of your carpeting. If you experience a coffee stain, here’s what you want to do:

  1. Blot the area with a dry towel
  2. Take a mixture of water, vinegar, and soap and apply it to the stain
  3. Blot the area again
  4. 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you’ve removed the stain

Ink Stains

One of the carpet stains that’s tougher to remove is an ink stain. It’s important to act quickly when responding to carpet stains of this variety. To address ink stains, follow these steps:

  1. Dab the stain with a white cloth that has isopropyl alcohol soaked on it.
  2. Let the stain sit for a couple of minutes, then remove leftover moisture with a liquid–friendly vacuum cleaner.
  3. Rinse the area with water, then vacuum or blot the affected area until it’s completely dry

Blood Stains

These types of stains can be a little stubborn, but they’re not as tough to remove as you may expect. To clean blood stains, here is the best approach to take:

  1. Use cold water when cleaning up the stain since warm water can actually make these carpet stains worse
  2. Take cold water and add two teaspoons’ worth of dish detergent. Then, take a spray bottle and apply the mixture to the stain
  3. Blot the area with either a paper towel or white cloth
  4. Repeat the aforementioned steps until the stain has been removed
